Around the world more than 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate. Our goal with RAWCS projects is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy.

Providing Clean water, Sanitation and Hygiene
When people have access to clean water and sanitation, waterborne diseases decrease, children stay healthier and attend school more regularly, and mothers can spend less time carrying water and more time helping their families.
RAWCS projects and volunteers mobilize resources, form partnerships, and invest in infrastructure and training that yield long-term change.

Saving Mothers and Children
We expand access to quality care, so mothers and children everywhere can have the same opportunities for a healthy future. An estimated 5.9 million children under the age of five die each year because of malnutrition, inadequate health care, and poor sanitation — all of which can be prevented.
RAWCS projects provide education, immunizations, birth kits, and mobile health clinics. Women are taught how to prevent disease transmission, how to breast-feed, how to protect themselves and their children from disease and how to provide more nutritional food for their children and families.
Fighting Disease
Disease results in misery, pain, and poverty for millions of people worldwide. That’s why treating and preventing disease is so important to us.
RAWCS sets up temporary clinics and training facilities in underserved communities struggling with outbreaks and health care access. We design and build infrastructure that allows doctors, patients, and governments to work together.
Our members combat diseases like malaria, HIV/AIDS, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, and polio. We also focus on health education and bringing people routine hearing, vision, and dental care
Growing Local Economies
Nearly 800 million people live on less than $1.90 per day. RAWCS projects and volunteers are passionate about providing sustainable solutions to poverty.
We provide training, access to resources and financial management assistance.
RAWCS projects create opportunities to help individuals and communities thrive financially and socially. We particularly focus on women in impoverished communities.

Repurposing Equipment (RARE)
RARE is an activity that establishes an efficient and effective program for distributing obsolete medical and educational equipment to disadvantaged communities in Australia and overseas under a regulative framework.

Rotarians Against Malaria
Rotarians Against Malaria is a volunteer-run organization working to eliminate malaria.
The primary focus of RAM has been the distribution of insecticide-treated nets to vulnerable populations in Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and more recently, Timor Leste. RAM has raised more than $1.6 million to eliminate malaria since 2003. RAM works in conjunction with the Ministry of Health authorities in each country and complements the work of other malaria organisations, most notably the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

RAWCS is committed to supporting projects and activities that strengthen the conservation and protection of natural resources, advance ecological sustainability, and foster harmony between communities, the environment and wildlife.

Promoting Peace
By carrying out service projects and supporting peace fellowships and scholarships, our members take action to address the underlying causes of conflict, including poverty, discrimination, ethnic tension, lack of access to education, and unequal distribution of resources.
Our commitment to peace building today answers new challenges: how we can make the greatest possible impact and how we can achieve our vision of lasting change.
